Where it's used: Switzerland and Liechtenstein: official surveying and mapping.
Convert a whole spreadsheet
- Open the web app or the Windows app, and paste your rows from Excel or open a CSV file.
- Under Coordinate system, search for “2056” and pick CH1903+ / LV95.
- Check one point you know on the map, then press Save KML or Save KMZ (with photos) and open it in Google Earth.
Before you rely on it
Coordinates without the leading 2 and 1 are on the older LV03 grid (EPSG 21781). Always check one known control point before sending a file out.
