About UTM Zone 36N
UTM zone 36N covers longitudes 30°E to 36°E in the northern hemisphere, with its central meridian at 33°E. On the WGS 84 datum it needs no datum shift, so eastings and northings convert straight to the latitude and longitude Google Earth uses.
Where it's used: Egypt east of 30°E including Cairo, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, western Syria, central Turkey and Sudan.
